Knights remember unborn

A monument remembering aborted children is dedicated and blessed with holy water and incense by Father Jeff Stoneberg, pastor, Oct. 7 at St. Ann Parish. The monument, which lies in the courtyard at the front of the Channahon church, was funded through fish fries hosted by the Knights of Columbus Channahon Council. In addition to parishioners and the local knights, Phil Barone, the new state deputy of the Knights of Columbus in Illinois, also attended the dedication. Ray Vander Zanden, grand knight of the St. Ann Council, said the knights have always been at the forefront in the struggle against abortion and the monument serves as a constant reminder.
